Cypress Dental Academy

Cypress Dental Academy is now offering two short courses in Dental Assisting. Supervised by a practicing dentist, instruction takes place in a clinical setting. You can quickly and inexpensively be prepared for an entry level position as a dental assistant in a general dentisty practice.

The demand for dental assistants continues to increase. To maximize productivity, dentists want to direct their attention to more complex procedures, delegating routine tasks to qualified dental assistants.

Dental Assistants perform a variety of tasks to assure smoth operation of a dental office. They greet and seat patients, prepare patients for treatments and assure the patient's comfort. They create and maintain dental charts and records, assist the dentist chairside with instruments and materials, provide instruction to patients after routine procedures are completed, and assure a clean work environment.

 

Dental Front Office Assistant

80 Hours in Length – Direct Instruction
In the Dental Front Office Assistant Program you will learn how to set appointments, handle patient charts and records, protect patient privacy, comply with certain legal requirements, write correspondence to patients, understand the nature of dental services performed by a dentist, and learn the fundamentals of dental coding and billing practices.

 

Dental Assistant Program

80 Hours in Length – Direct Instruction Our chairside program is designed to prepare you for an entry level position as a dental assistant in a general dentistry practice. Our graduates will be familiar with dental anatomy, dental terminology, instruments, lab equipment, charting, tooth numbering, infection control, restorative materials, takin impressions, and many other topics.
